Matt Mackey is a fifth-generation Bradenton native and a graduate of the University of Miami School of Law. During law school, he completed a federal judicial internship, clerked at a Miami firm specializing in real estate, tax, and complex commercial litigation, and contributed to the school’s bankruptcy pro bono assistance clinic.

Before pursuing law, Matt attended Manatee High School and played college baseball at multiple levels, including Division I Eastern Illinois University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in finance. He later transferred to Lenoir-Rhyne University in North Carolina, completing his collegiate baseball career and earning a master’s degree in business administration.

Outside the office, Matt enjoys staying active and exploring Florida’s outdoors with his wife, Niondina, a former collegiate soccer player and current teacher and coach at Manatee High School.
