Catherine Zoller Mackey is a fourth generation Bradenton native. She was a "Hall of Fame" graduate from Manatee High School in 1979, and graduated with a major in Communication and minor in Humanities from Florida State University in 1983. A Florida girl at heart, she received her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Miami.
After graduating from law school, Cathie began her career in Tampa for the Law Office of Dale Swope. After marrying Peter Mackey in 1988, they moved to Bradenton where she initially worked for McGuire and Parry, P.A. Soon thereafter, she convinced Peter they should follow in the footsteps of her entrepreneurial family and hang out their own shingle in 1991. Mackey Law Group has developed into one of Bradenton's most enduring law firms.
Cathie primarily practices in the area of real estate and is a title agent with Old Republic National Title Insurance Company, heading the firm's real estate department. She has handled all varieties of real estate contracts and closings from the simple to the complex, and has represented individuals and financial institutions in loan workouts and other transactions. In addition, she manages the firm and has widespread ties throughout Manatee County because of her family connections and her involvement in the community. She is also the proud mother of a Vanderbilt college student and triplets in the seventh grade.
She is admitted to the Florida Bar—Real Property Probate and Trust Section and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. She is a member of the Manatee County Bar Association.
